Publishing Guidelines
These guidelines are designed to help our authors understand what we accept and don’t accept for inclusion on our site.
The purpose of this site is to provide useful information to our readers and to provide our readers with access to resources if they require further assistance. Our authors will have their 200 word profile, including one image published at the bottom of each of their articles.
Before you submit to our site, we would appreciate if you would please read this page first.
CONTENT QUALIFICATIONS
- MUST BE YOUR ORIGINAL WORK. The article you submit is to be submitted under your name, and must be your original work.
- MUST BE informative and share your unique expertise. You may include tips, strategies, techniques, case-studies, analysis, opinions and commentary in your articles.
- MUST NOT be a press release, advertisement, sales letter, promotional copy, or blatant and excessive self-promotion or hype.
- MUST HAVE proper English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization and sentence structure. Whilst there are variations to what is considered “proper English” you must be consistent within your article. Please ensure you proof and double check your article before submitting.
- MUST NOT contain: pornography/adult material, hate or violence-oriented, suggest racial intolerance, advocate against any individual or group, have insulting, obscene, degrading tone, or contain profanity.
- MUST NOT contain information that promotes: email Safe-Lists or bulk email spamming as a good thing, paid auto-surf programs as a good thing or click fraud or clicking on Adsense ads as a good thing.
- MUST NOT contain any content that violates any law, be considered defamatory, libelous, or infringes on the legal rights of others.
AUTHOR NAME:
- Your Author Name must include your first and last name, First name – Last Initial or First initial – Last name as the author of the article.
- Your First and Last name must begin with a Capital Letter.
- We do not allow company names, email addresses or adjectives, nouns or descriptors to be your Author Name.
ARTICLE BODY:
- Must be a minimum of 250 words and no more than 5,000 words. For us, an ideal article size is 400-750 words.
- Please do not repeat your Title and Author at the top of your article.
- If you sell hard in your article by including your URL or product pitch or blatant self-promotion, we will not publish your article. Please use your Author Profile to include your promotion, website and contact information.
- Your article body must deliver on what is promised in the title. We do not accept teaser links or phrases that require a reader to click away from the article or reference another source in order to receive the full benefit of what has been promised.
- Your article must be single spaced, use appropriate paragraph breaks and use correct formatting for bulleted or numbered lists.
Copying Content From Microsoft Word Documents
Many articles are composed using Microsoft Word and then cut and paste into the Wsywig editor. This often causes problems for visitors using the Internet Explorer browser.
If you are using Microsoft Word to edit your articles, please use the Paste From Word function on the editing toolbar.
WEBSITE LINKS / URLS
- There is a total limit of (4) active or inactive links allowed in the article, which DOES NOT include the Author Resource Box
- Please confine the use of self-serving / self-promotion links to your Profile / Author Resource Box.
- We will NOT auto-format URLs that are included in the body of your article OR in the Author Resource Box.
- Your links MAY NOT contain a file to be downloaded of any type.
- We will not accept articles with links (in the Article Body or Resource Box) to adult-oriented websites, including but not limited to websites that include pornography, adult-oriented sexual content.
